Product Sonification: Elevate user experiences with the strategic use of sound

Session Title

Product Sonification: Elevate user experiences with the strategic use of sound

Presenter

Karel Barnoski, 2octave

Session Type: Presentation

Sound is often integrated into a product as an after-thought. The result is a disconnected user experience. Through the strategic use of sound, you can elevate your product’s impact in the marketplace. Planned integration of sound can add a level of sophistication to your product. Additionally, sound can help address usability concerns, as well as reinforce a brand.

This session will explore how a comprehensive sound strategy can be integrated into a product’s life cycle, and provide case studies of successful product sonification.

Nice to see another sense besides “touch” covered! Will this discuss only physical products? Or include application/web?

The presentation is focused on products, but will provide insight useful for application/web. Thanks!
