How to cure homesickness through social website

Social websites can be categorized into two groups: focusing on objects or focusing on people. The general socializing concept of an object-focused website rarely emphasize on actual physical interaction. The next step on improving social network website is to combine three elements: objects, social network service, and physical interaction.
Members post desired items with special meanings from a particular region, and search for other members that are traveling from the particular region back to the user’s location. Travelers act like couriers by bringing back the desired items and the experience of the trip. Couriers not only fulfill receivers’ desires, but also bring back nostalgia and cures receivers’ homesickness.
Biography
Yuwei Fu is an interactive designer and currently doing his Master thesis project at Interactive Design and Game Develop of Savannah College of Art and Design. He believes that interactive design can solve problem of everyday life. His thesis project is to cure people’s homesickness through object focus social website and create emotional design.
