Interaction Recipe: 1 part Tech, 1 part Psych, and 5 part Relationships

Session Title

Interaction Recipe: 1 part Tech, 1 part Psych, and 5 part Relationships

Presenter

Candy Bernhardt

Session Type: Presentation

Many interaction designers are hyperfocused on the sexier implementation disciplines of Technology and Psychology. This session will broaden the context to show how Sociology is a bigger part of the pie than normally credited — and not just the social situations for the end user. Find out how focusing our interaction brains on relationships will make us all more successful, happy, and accomplished designers.

Biography

Candy Bernhardt is often referenced as ‘Candy with a WHY?’ because of an insatiable desire to learn, explore, and make things better. She’s held many titles, but her experience in information and interaction design spans 10 years. Her process of breaking information down and putting it back together has brought about interesing innovations, like the patented ‘seats left at this price’. She happily shares her lessons learned through local IxDA, UPA, and Refresh in the DFW area.

Great idea, but can you elaborate more on what you want to talk about? What will I walk away with? Thanks!
