Mobile web design that works

Session Title

Mobile web design that works

Presenter

John Devanney, Moment

Session Type: Presentation

After years of anticipation, people are finally using the mobile web. As a result, many companies now see mobile as a critical channel of interaction with their customers, and mobile web traffic is even surpassing traditional PC web traffic for some user tasks.

However designing for the mobile web is hardly a straight-forward effort. Users’ behavior is changing rapidly, and the capabilities of mobile handsets and technologies powering the sites are as well.

At Moment, we’ve been actively engaged with major corporations in designing mobile websites that are among the most highly trafficked on the web. In this presentation we’ll share our perspective on the issues and pitfalls encountered by designers involved in these efforts, and how they can be addressed.
