Turning the Titanic: Breathing Experiential Life into Legacy Applications
Session Title
Turning the Titanic: Breathing Experiential Life into Legacy Applications
Presenter
Scott Garsed-Donnelly, Adobe Systems
Session Type: Presentation
While some designers get the opportunity to work on the “next big thing”, many others are just trying to get their existing web or desktop application over the next hurdle. Big legacy applications, typically built in the beginning by engineers alone, can be a maze of razor blades to someone tasked with improving the user experience. So how can you integrate the value of design into the product lifecycle? Heck, forget that — how can you just get the UI changes you want, actually built?!

He’s currently trying to spend more time on the beach in Capitola, CA, where his wife and dog have been all day and are still waiting for him to show up.
